Science Kids was established in 2009 to provide youth in Sheridan County with outdoor science opportunities. Our goal is to give children access to the highest quality of instruction while also fostering a respect and understanding of the natural world. Our instructors have advanced degrees in their chosen fields, and all have extensive teaching experience as well. Our class sizes are limited to twelve children. Each class has an instructor, a teaching assistant, and a driver/assistant. This 4:1 ratio also means that our other main goal of making safety a priority is met.

We explore a number of different outdoor locations throughout the course of any summer class. The Bradford Brinton Memorial and Museum is our main campus, but a variety of private and public lands are also utilized. Your child will learn first-hand about this wonderful backyard we call Wyoming.

While the main part of our program takes place during the summer, Science Kids works throughout the year to bring science programming to community as well. Science Saturdays are a collaborative effort with Sheridan College faculty and the Sheridan College Museum of Discovery. Also, each month, the public is invited to join us at the Bradford Brinton Memorial and Museum for Birding at the Brinton, hosted by a local birding expert. Both of these programs are free of charge. For dates and times, email us and we’ll get you on the mailing list.
